Undersheriff Jared Rowlison

Jared Rowlison began his career working as a dispatcher at the Bozeman (MT) Police Department and then the Gallatin County/City of Bozeman 911 Center. In 1999, Jared moved back to the Denver area where he was raised and was hired as a dispatcher at the Arapahoe County (CO) Sheriff’s Office. Within a couple of years, he got to go to the police academy and as a Deputy Sheriff, Jared worked in the Sheriff’s Office detention facility and patrol, including an assignment on the hostage negotiation team. Through a series of promotions, he has had additional assignments in the detention facility, patrol, internal affairs, and investigations. Currently, Jared is the Undersheriff and oversees the administration and operations of the sheriff’s office on behalf of Arapahoe County’s elected sheriff.
Jared received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Montana State University and a graduate certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of Virginia. He completed the 304th session of the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command, the 267th session of the FBI National Academy, the 82nd session of the Senior Management Institute for Police, and the University of Denver Daniels College of Business Public Safety Leadership Development Program. Jared also serves as vice president for the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation, is the vice chair for the Colorado Information Sharing Consortium Board of Directors, a member of the Highlands Ranch Law Enforcement Training Foundation board, and is a Site-Based Assessor for the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies.
